Sriyog is a project helpful to the common people and created by combining the instructions of Yoga and ‘Srividya Sadhana’ (worshipping Srividya). This project is simplified as much as possible and is formed by joining the authentic Patanjali Yoga science and traditional methods of observance. The present contradictions and unhappiness seen will be vanished when this method, suitable for deists, spread everywhere. The rulings of Veda and Tantra are same. The wisdom or knowledge (Jnana) got more importance than Karma, when people entered to Uttarameemamsa from Poorvameemamsa. Sriyog is a balanced combination of both Karma and Jnana.
The way of Patanjali Yoga:
Yoga is a branch of science which includes all principles of the study of spirituality. The ultimate aim of Yoga sciences is to guide the man to the perfection through a refined path by waking up and developing the endless and surprising inherent strength and vigor. It is believed that this Yoga principle was advised to Patanjali by Sri Parameswaran. The people learned it through the saints Gorakshaka and Matsyendra. It is also seen that propagators of this were Swatmaramayogis. There are eight steps in this invaluable method of exercise, which was developed through many generations by constant experiments and observations. Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi are these eight steps. Out of these, Yama and Niyama are to be learnt and followed by every man. The basement of world peace is the personal life of everyone, based on Yama and Niyama.
The Yoga Science is divided into four: Bhakti yoga, Karma yoga, Jnanayoga and Raja yoga. Other than these, also there are many yogas such as Hathayoga, Kundaliniyoga, Tantra yoga, Mantra yoga and Japa yoga.
Hatha yoga:
A Hathayogi begins his sadhana with his body and the air he inhales and exhales (prana). ‘Ha’ indicates Sun and ‘tha’ indicates the moon. Here, the Sun means pranan and the moon means ‘apana’. (Apana vayu is responsible for regulating the outward flow of prana from the body and governs elimination of physical wastes and toxins from the body.) Surya nadi (the Sun nerve) works through the right nostril and the chandra nadi (the moon nerve) works through the left nostril. Hatha yoga is nothing but combining prana with apana and becomes one. This method helps the people like a ladder to climb to the level of Raja yoga. The Hatha yoga, which helps to be healthy and to have a long life, stimulates the digestion and blood circulation. A Hatha yogi can attain more vitality and strength by avoiding all types of diseases.
Indian Tantric Science:
The philosophy of the Hindu religion is mainly classified into four. They are Sruti, Smriti, Purana and Tantra. Each of them was used to fulfill all the requirements of people lived in each Yuga. Sruti is to be observed during Satya yuga, Smriti during Thretha yuga, Purana during Dwapara yuga and Tantric science during Kali yuga. The science predicts that the Tantric science will have many branches at the end of Kali yuga. All these four sciences were formed by great saints. The Tantric science was prepared by the saints after analyzing and realizing the situations of Kali yuga. Their aim was to open a new horizon in the spiritual sky. The Tantric Science reveals that source of strength which sleeps in the mind of mankind can be awakened and thus the Jeevatma (human soul) can be dissolved in the Paramatma (the God’s soul). It is said that the Tantric science was created by Siva and Parvathi for the mankind. There are two divisions for Tantra Sasthra (Tantric science): Agama Tantra and Nigama Tantra. The secret levels of Tantra Sasthra are revealed as a conversation between Siva and Parvathi. Actually, the Tantra Sasthra is nothing but the 64 answers given by Sri Parameswara (God Siva) to his wife Parvathi to clear her doubts. Sri Parameswaran states that there is no other great science like Tantra Sasthra. There is another Tantra, which was advised by Sri Parvathi to Sri Parameswara. It has been praised as the 65th Tantra by the saints and is known as ‘Srividyopasana’(worshipping the Devi). Devi (Sri Parvathi) declares that there is nothing else like Srividyopasana for the liberation of the people of Kali yuga. She exhorts us that we will be freed from all sorts of sins by Srividyopasana which is a combination of Mantra, Yantra and Tantra.
Tantra Sasthra consists of Beeja Mantra, Yantra with linear algebra and Tantras, which are the means. All the people have the right to practice and observe the Tantra Sasthra, without any discrimination of caste, religion and gender. Three ways of worships are said in the Tantra Sasthra and they are physical, verbal and mental. Tantra Sasthra describes the way to get full freedom from the strokes caused by the spiritual, physical and divine sorrows.
Sriyog is a Yoga project integrates the Patanjali Yoga method and Sreevidyopasana explained above. In this method, the practitioner utilizes Hatha yoga to a certain extent and wakes up the secret energy, sleeping in him (the energy of Kundalini) to bring it to Parama Siva through his spinal nerve. Thus he attains the Laya (the divine harmony).
Those who complete the Sriyog practice can enter into Srividya Deeksha (Sreevidyopasana) as their higher study. Srividya method has the top most position in Tantra Sasthra. This method has different ways, such as Kaulam, Samayam and Misram. Sriyog Sadhanapath follows the Misra Margam (Mixed method). Deeksha is given as a beginning of this method Deeksha is to earn the divine knowledge. The word ‘Deeksha’ means that the master gives his internal energy to the disciple to destroy all of his sins and to provide him with the divine wisdom. The ‘Kularnava Tantra’ establishes that the eligibility and the power to receive or give Deeksha will not be under the control of caste or color systems.
Deeksha is a culture. Once when it is attained, difference in caste, color and wealth are not considered. Similarly, granting Deeksha is also not according to the caste, creed or color, but strictly according to the culture of the recipient. This means that only by being born into an upper class will not be an eligibility to get Deeksha. The criterion to grant and receive Deeksha is the spiritual culture of the concerned person.
The sadhanas of this life are the continuations of the sadhanas of previous lives. Getting the master also is according to them.
