Sriyog Sadhanapatham came alive on 30th May 2005 as a physical body to realize the spiritual as well as social projects evolved in the souls of a group of worshippers who are inspired by the system of Srividya. Its aims are the study, meditation and research of the branches of science taught by the ancient sages in India. The Yoga has been given more importance among these branches. The Yoga is one of the vital sciences of Brahma tatva. The six philosophical visions of India are Samkhya, Yoga, Nyaya, Vaiseshika, Poorva Meemamsa and Uthara Meemamsa (Vedanta). Out of these, the sutras of Yoga were created by the sage Patanjali. Yoga is nothing but to unite with the Parabrahma by destroying the veils which cover the human soul. It is the joining of Jeevatma and Paramatma. The meaning of its sutra is to avoid the unwanted thoughts and to maintain the purity of the truth of the mind. The practical meaning of Yoga is to maintain the balance of mind in any adverse situations.
In addition to that, any person who enters into the Yoga is made healthy and capable to do the traditional duty of his family, by diagnosing and rectifying the internal and external defects of his body without any medicines, but by the Yoga treatment which balances the air and blood circulation. We consider that our prime obligations are to make awareness in the society about the necessity of Srividya Sadhana (disciplined and dedicated practice) and to create a wise group of priests to serve the society. They will be selected from the eligible and interested persons without considering their religion, caste or gender and will be trained properly. ‘Parabhattaraka Yogeesanandanathan’ or Neelakanta Mahadeva Joshi, a giant among the traditional Tanjore Brahmin family was raised to the status of ‘Sarvasadhakacharya’, the great master, who learned all types of worship in India by his deep knowledge. The lineage of his disciples has grown and spread in such a way that they have become capable to claim the authority in the Tantric domain of Travancore and Malabar under the leadership of Parabhattaraka Ganganandanathan and Dheeranandanathan.
The Tantric classes are conducted on every Sunday in different batches. The Tantric classes are arranged for the higher studies such as Yoga, Yoga treatment, Bakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Laya Yoga, Japa Yoga, the Structure of Srichakra, the Structure of the Universe, the Structure of Subtle body, Structure of Shad Chakra (Six circles), Principles of five elements, Kundalini Yoga and the Science of the arrangements of Tantra, Mantra and Yantra. The preliminary Deeksha is given to the Sadhakas who complete the primary orders of Sadhana. Then, the eligible, dedicated and smart disciples are given higher Deekshas after proper experiments and observations.
Recently, another practicing program based on the Sun worship has also been started in different parts of the state with the name ‘Sourayog’ in the auspices of Sadhanapatham. The experience testifies that the subtle and astral bodies of those who successfully complete the courses including ‘Balasuryadarsan’ (watching the early morning Sun) and ‘Adityanamaskaram’, become more vital and strong. Along with this course, Agnihotra also is conducted during the sunrise and sunset. This is helpful to get rid of bacterial diseases.
An era of Renaissance has been begun in the spiritual domain by Sriyog Sadhanapatham through its ‘Vicharasathras’ conducted in every year. Sriyog has several Sadhakas now, who have been doing the basic and advanced courses of Yoga, university courses such as TTC, BSc, MSc (Yoga) and Diploma in Yoga Therapy. If the destiny of God allows, you also can be a part of our mission to protect the golden vessel of Indian culture vested with us by the holy saints with great wisdom.
